shutdown day 2008All it takes is twenty fours. Just one day. Can you survive not switching on your computer for one entire day? Shutdown Day 2008 happens on May 3, 2008. Flash mobs and other hijinx have been planned for this one day of the year where participants say NO to switching their computer on for a good twenty four hours..
I’ll be doing my bit by saying NO to firing up the laptop after a hard day at work and weeding through the 100+ RSS feeds I’m subscribed to. The time spent being glued to the tiny screen will be better spent catching up on some reading and good old fashioned letter writing.
If you can say NO to a day of Facebook, blogging, World Of Warcraft, firing up iTunes, jumping onto MSN/YiM/ICQ/IRC then you’re doing your bit to a happier, healthier lifestyle!

the old SUB FM mixing deskI miss the gorgeous girl to the left of screen. We used to spend one day a week together being intimate with each other. She used to love it when I played with her faders and she made the most amazing sounds when I gently adjusted the EQs.

The last time I saw her was back in 2004, during my final radio show. Who would’ve thought that we would part on such sad terms.

It was a fun seven years (and three mixing desks) of hosting a radio show at SUB FM.

Sadly, the radio station ceased to exist due to the former Liberal Government being a pack of wankers by wielding the Voluntary Student Union axe and making mince meat of everything that was “fun” at uni.

The old radio show host side of my personality hasn’t died. I’m in the midsts of putting together a podcast site with a DJ Mix posted every so often. It’s not good ol’ SUB FM but it’s the next best thing.
